NOTE: There is some very cool discussion and mods going on to this mod over on MTF here [link]
Nothing fancy here, sorry folks, just four simple PNG files that you can use with ThemePark make your Snow Leopard menubar concave like you see in the preview. I was playing around trying to make some menus that looked good with Nuala and stumbled on this look and kind of liked it. If you're familiar with ThemePark then you can just drag-and-drop replace each of the four resources (items 110, 115, 116, and 118) with these images. Then log out. These #'s are for the Graphite appearance setting. Here's a few general instructions. Backup your SArtFile.bin file file first I guess. These were built on Snow Leopard 10.6.2.
- Get ThemePark [link] and open your sArtfile.bin - Locate resource numbered 104, 115, 116, and 118 - One at a time drag-and-drop replace each - Close sArtfile.bin, save changes, and then Apply Theme - Log out and log back in
That's it. I wish I was better at installers but I don't like distributing system files since a lot of people customize theirs. I like the idea of simple ThemePark mods that people can choose to use, sort of à la carte modding. I'd like to see more of this, more like Simpleness and Azul.
still stays the same
do you think you can make even more minimalistic?
feels very nice with MenuBar icons by iAdrew.
