Thatched by hotiron Thatched by hotiron
needed to make something for my new 24-incher, so i came up with this soft, dark, cross-hatched, minimalist texture. you can see it in action here [link] (just added 2560x1600 by request)

Thanks, yeah it's all in Pshop. It's about 200MB. It's 4 layers of pattern with differing transparencies and shades of grey and then about 3 layers of highlights and 8 layers of noise and scratches and grunge effects all in a big (read as: slow) smart object that has 6 different effects on it for lighting and color.

Well, thanks to you! :)
It wouldn't be there if it wasn't for your wallpaper which inspired me.

This one's a keeper. Great job. There is enough contrast between the light and dark areas to camouflage my LCD's *slightly* uneven lighting. Thanks for the 1920x1080 size too.

Sure, thanks for the comments. It's great to hear what sizes are important! I just got a 24" LG and am using 1920 for the first time. I'm surprised how many people are using that size.
