I finally got around to making a custom Finder background to go with my current Metal Muku fetish. This is a 2,000 pixel by 4,000 pixel image to be used with the typical settings (128 pixel icons & 10 pt font). Remember to adjust the spacing so they all line up. And it's an 8-bit PNG to keep the file size down (900Kb) for speed. The download includes a corrugated board background as well. Here's a quick visual tutorial on how to setup Finder for these backgrounds. If you like these you should also try my Metalik Muku theme and Metal Muku iTunes 9.1 traffic lights mod. Enjoy!

On SL 10.6 I don't know if there's a settings section for finder. How can you get those settings displayed in the visual tutorial? Or am I just blind?

Snow Leopard needs 2000x2000 pixels sizes and I can't edit the FlockedVelvet.png in PS. I get a popup saying;

'Could not complete your request because the file-format module cannot parse the file.

Can we please get these either resized or the image fixed so I can crop it?

THANKS

The alias badge you see here is one I did a while ago, you can download them here [link] but I have made some really cool updates to the blue alias badge and you can grab that one [link] from my cloud. You'll need a tool like Panic's CandyBar or IconBox to apply them. Enjoy!
